Graduate Recruitment

Rewards and benefits

We want you to feel a part of our organisation even before your training contract commences. Once you accept a training contract with us, you will have access to Inside DLA Piper, our future trainee web portal which allows you to access firm updates and information and contact your future colleagues via a chat forum facility. We also organise social events for our future trainees so that you can meet up with your soon-to-be colleagues.

Your starting salary will be competitive with those of leading firms. Trainee salaries from September 2010 are:

London office:        £37,000 per annum first year and £40,000 per annum second year
English regional offices:   £25,000 per annum first year and £27,000 per annum second year
Scottish offices:     £22,000 per annum first year and £24,000 per annum second year

You will be entitled to the following benefits (subject to a qualifying period):

  • contributory pension scheme
  • life assurance
  • private health cover
  • permanent health insurance scheme
  • 25 days' holiday

We will provide you with a first class training and development programme, combining on-the-job training with the Professional Skills Course and specifically designed residential courses.

The graduate recruitment team will provide you with support and act as a point of contact from recruitment, throughout your training contract and up to two years post-qualification. Each office has a dedicated team member who you can discuss your progress with.
